Is a car something you want from a vending machine?

What happens if the car doesn't come out and you have to tip the machine over?

Or what they don't want to do, like interact with another human.

I see a huge advantage getting rid of car salesmen but it seems like your giving it all back plus more by building 10 something million dollar gimmick. Who's paying for that?

It is cool. I'd like to see it work in person.

I assume you're talking about Carvana. We've got one here. My next door neighbor bought a Camry from them.

Sounds like too much pain to see a couple used cars.

I saw one of Carvana's vending machines a few weeks ago driving between Dallas and McKinney, TX. Definitely seems like an odd concept to me, but then again I've become the "Get off my lawn!" old guy in recent years.

They also deliver cars on a nice looking truck for the grunts that don't like the vending machine.

So many places these days seem to be marginalizing the car buying process. I think it's a mistake and I won't participate in it. Buying a vehicle is likely the largest purchase a person will ever make. The process needs to remain as hands-on as possible...
