I would return it if you still can. There is a new ipod touch coming out in a month or two, and it's supposed to be a big improvement. Rumors are, it'll have a camera. And of course, with each generation, you either get a price drop or more features at the same price point.

Critic,
With all due respect, I stopped chasing my tail long ago with the "newest" this or that gadget. There's always something twice as good for half the price as soon as we buy any computerized device. Such is life. Did I mention how cool I think the new iPod touch is?

And is the picture quality as [censored] as the iPhone camera? Anybody even slightly versed in digital photography will not rely on a cell-phone camera. Chances are, someone who has an iPod Touch also has a cell phone with him, and that cell phone probably already has some kind of a camera in it, making the iPod Touch camera redundant.

Congrats! What will you be using it for mainly?

After buying the iPod touch today, I decided I had to have internet on it. So, I also bought a cheap Belkin wireless router, and set up a wireless home network. I can even use the wireless signal to get online using the Nintendo Wii, if I ever get the urge.

Now, who's going to develop the BITOGer App for the iPhone/iPod touch?

Would you believe there is an Ipod/Itouch application to calculate fuel economy? All you do is enter the miles driven and the fuel consumed, and it does the rest :-)

I am not kidding!

And it's only $9.99! ha ha

Seriously, have you seen the gasbag app.? It shows you all the gas stations around you on a map, including brand and their gas prices. It's free. Great app.

I did some browsing around on the iTunes App Store today. Lots of neat stuff, a lot of useless apps, and a surprisingly large number of apps dedicated to pictures of Asian girls.
