Ranger,
I'm hanging in there baby! I'm fairly confident I bought more LU at the right time. I'm down over $400 since January (when it hit a new high....~$4.90) I'm hoping to be back to that level before the end of the year.

I would really like to get some more MOBL. It has remained strong despite all the chaos. I don't know though if I can convince my wife to let me invest another $1k

I'm sure you guys know how women are!

BTW, this is post #400 on this thread! A lot of good info in this single thread. Keep up the good work!

Aeropostale, Inc. is a mall-based specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories that targets both young women and men aged 11 to 20. As of 2/02, the Company operated 278 stores. For the FY ended 1/31/04, revenues rose 33% to $734.9M. The Company's net income applicable to Common stock rose 75% to $54.3M. Results reflect higher sales in young women's and improved operating margins.

Up $1.57 on nicely increased revenues. I sold on the good news....I was crying so much, I couldn't take it any more.....

Ranger....you still own LU?

EDIT: Has anyone here heard the news about Martha Stweart? She "could" be off the hook soon because an expert that testified for the procecution lied under oath. MSO closed at $9.22 today......could this stock be a gold mine? Many experts are predicting that if Martha goes free her stock will skyrocket!
Whatcha guys think?

EDIT 2: P, you never told me VASO was so cheap....it's only $1.24. Do you own it? The fundamentals don't look too good, which wouldn't necessarily deter me to own it.
What say you?

Z, yep I've still got LU. I try to hold a stock long enough for an indicator "swing" to take place. This usually takes from several days to weeks or months.

LU announced a buyout of another company today that gives them a play in the voice internet business. It's supposed to be accretive to earnings by '06. That's why the stock popped.

LU's selloff Friday was because they announced a possible cash payment for some 8% bonds that might be redeemed. Fat chance, with interest rates this low.....The technicals still look good on LU, but this day-to-day volitility is hard on the nerves.....

LU ended up 4 cents today. I just took a look at the daily chart, and it hovered right around unchanged most of the day. Then in the last hour it started climbing like a homesick angel. Someone was buying it big time.......was that you, Pablo???

I got my shares at the daily low.....I was surprised that my (low) buy went through with all the press and the recommendations for LU....I think there was so much other vacuuming going on LU was skipped until later in the day...but glad we all benefitted!!!

LU signed a contract with Cingular (I think) to supply testing equipment for some sort of comm protocol, blah, blah,.....they beat out other companies in the sector.

Everything has been going right for LU the last few days; the shorts must be bailing out in droves.....

Lu is doing the RIGHT thing YEAH BABY!!!!!

VASO dipped so I did buy another 5000 shares at the daily low, (gotta love it!)...and it seems to be thinking about doing the right thing...

Hi motorguy. Not raggin' on you or anything, but this thread is really misnamed. These guys are all day traders. So it should really be "Traders....come in please".

But... I'll add one thing about long-haul investing. You can reduce the business risk associated with investing by buying the market (or a subset of the market if you think you can predict the future of a market segment). This can also reduce expenses and headaches.
