Mainiac - I have always liked NG as a something to go up with time, tell me about your portfolio, I have kept my plays simple, mostly mutual funds, such as the FIDELITY SELECT NATURAL GAS.

Well, That was one heck of a rally today....what does it mean? I hope it doesn't go up too high cuz I'm transferring some money into Ameritrade to buy some more LU and MOBL.....someone cover my butt.....I'm going in!!!

gotcha covered....I think we can just make money on these undulations....the real good traders are making a ton, I'm just pocketing as I go along....sure, time in the market is the saying...but I just want to know what's so bad about market timing??

I'm with you Pablo on market timing. No doubt about it, it's HARD, but if you watch the market close enough, you can get a feel of which way sentiment is going. And it's so much fun when you're right. Like I said before, "Some days you eat the bear, some days the bear eats you". Today we gobbled up the bear.

hehe....I know the feeling. I sold my SUNW shares because MSN Money say I should. Well, I did and took a $40 profit, after a very long time in the negative. Ever since, SUNW has gone down a lot. I sold those shares when I started this post. It wasn't skills and perfect timing....It was panic and fear.....I guess it turned out to be the right decision.

The market was pretty flat today.....I guess that's my chance to buy cheap come next week. Will it go lower...should I wait?

ALL look good. I put more into my Natural Gas fund, sold a little out of one of my international funds, and bought into a select Insurance company only based mutual fund (Fidelity Select Insurance) - this fund has a really good track record, but again, the future? I'm bullish, but who knows???

So many attractive stocks......so little money!

I'm a wild-man with 6 figures in a glass market filled with (18 (3 x6) and over) Asian girls in 6 inch heels carrying 6" radius prosciutto and parmesan protein pizzas....I'm equipped with a 6# hammer and a 6" feather duster....and I'm trying to make money, eat and enjoy the sights.....only I can't decide of which one to take for the long ride. Every time I choose one, a better one comes along. The hammer breaks the glass and the feather duster doesn't go deep enough. There is another thing way on the other side of the glass market, a knowledge stockpile, but to negotiate my way over there, I must completely change my way of thinking....This I have begun.

I refuse to consult (pay) experts, because their markets are WAY more bizarre than mine, I gleaned this from the knowledge stockpile. The results behind us within this glass market, are less likely than a coin flip to tell us which way to go.

Choose wisely, for under the skirt may lurk a nasty surprise.

I'm like you.....I was told I should put my money into Mutual Funds, which I refuse. I know I'm a newbie at trading, but I rather lose my money than give it to some jack*** , so he can lose it for me, or worse yet, steal it.

I'm not saying to avoid mutual funds altogether. Some are very good, expecially he ones with NO LOAD and very low fees. I always have some money in funds and some have done fine.

better to lose money by selling too early than lose money by not selling at all. Congrats.....put the extra cash towards another attractive stock. I'm waiting for another $1k I trasnferred from my savings to my checking to ameritrade. I have LU and MOBL in mind....hopefully the market will move sideways until I get my dough.

EDIT: yo....you still have LU right?

Alright.....I just set up a limit buy at $4.0 for a total of 225 shares. Hope it dips that low by the end of the day. If it goes through, then I'll have a total of 615 shares.

I have about $90 that I might throw at MOBL!

Another healthy day for the market. Lu up a bit, and sorry to say I'm rooting to leave $4 share in the dust $4.50 would be pretty.....funny how stocks are...but I may be a buyer under $3.90 if it still looks attractive.

When is the best time to SELL a stock?

When you would no longer BUY it at that price.
