I'm surprised that they are banned to sell to their biggest customer and the stock hasn't tanked. They must have jacked up the prices for their equipment for everyone else.

I hate the current AI except for day trading...
They keeping spamming us with that crap... I turn it off whenever possible...

FWIW, if you don't want individual semi stocks you could take a mutual fund approach. I hold several shares of FSELX. It has done remarkably well the last several years. It also tends to pay a decent dividend in December and April.

Sorry if this was covered earlier... is the wheel strategy (trading options) something that you guys feel outperforms traditional buy & hold?

I've got a friend who swears by it, but the more I read about it, the more it sounds like just an additional hassle that I'm not sure I want to bother with... am I missing out on something big here?
I don't know anyone's system.

I know what has worked for me the last few years and that is the simplicity of selling covered calls.

Pick a stock, maybe one that doesn't move much or one that does.

Pick strike that suits your position. Make patient bid. There is NO RUSH. This is key. Let it come to you.

I sold covered calls with VGLT which were then executed. It was months ago and I've forgotten how I did it in Fidelity. :(

Kinda funny... So many "hate" the AI thing. It's stupid. Messes up my YT. Won't work. It's stupid.

It's also the biggest inflection point... Here's my LRCX stock... And don't forget the Magnificent 7. If that ain't proof I don't know what is.

I only speak for myself...
AI is a dream for those less brain endowed. 😀
Money isn't everything... look at Pablo and AutoMechanic

No one has figured out how to monetize AI yet. Its much like it was with the internet in 1998.

The companies that made it big on the internet - Google, Meta, Amazon - came after.

I wonder if that story will repeat, and we will see companies we have never heard of leading the way in a few years? Or will google, Meta and Amazon simply buy those companies before they get started - much like GE kept competitors at bay for so many years?

Respectfully that's simply not true. It is true that AI is in it's relative infancy.
Please provide an example of AI being effectively monetized?

The hyperscalers have spent billions, perhaps trillions. Revenue thus far is like $50B a year optimistically.

Open AI has said themselves they will need to spend another 1/2 Trillion over the next 10 years before they make money. They have already been promoting a taxpayer bail out due to "national security".

NVDA makes money, but its circular financing.

I am all ears if you have an answer? Not saying they will never get there - but there is no clear path as of today.

PLTR has coughed up riches the past few days.... if you got in at the high $160 mark you are flush with cash.

Interesting take.

Though the current profits aren't massive and of course no where close to break-even, you do have to look at the opportunity cost.

If Google doesn't improve Gemini and integrate AI into their search engine, they will be left behind as most AIs are basically super advanced search engines with reasoning.

The opportunity cost for Google and possibly Meta, is losing market share (billions) and being wiped out by OpenAI.
