Interesting take.

Though the current profits aren't massive and of course no where close to break-even, you do have to look at the opportunity cost.

If Google doesn't improve Gemini and integrate AI into their search engine, they will be left behind as most AIs are basically super advanced search engines with reasoning.

The opportunity cost for Google and possibly Meta, is losing market share (billions) and being wiped out by OpenAI.
For sure. But that by definition makes it speculative - hence my only real point. Speculative is a happy thing for traders. Its a dirty word to the buy and hold crowd, but that is what it is, like it or not. We don't know who the winners will be, or how they will make money.

I am in no way anti AI. My biggest individual stocks are GOOG and AMZN, which happen to be the 3rd and 1st largest data center companies. But I am not a buy and hold investor.

"Pre-market and post-market trading hours allow investors to trade stocks outside of regular market hours. Pre-market trading occurs before the market opens, typically from 4 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. ET. Post-market trading happens after the market closes, usually from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET. These trading sessions can offer opportunities to react to news and events, but they also come with lower liquidity and higher volatility."

Been doing it for years.
Not every stock is a 24 hr.stock..
The Hood specializes in it...
Ford etc does too but PLTR rolls

PLTR was very shady last night....
I was up when it bottomed at $174.06 and later $174.03 and it settled into the mid $175. Range until about 7:24 AM when in front of my eyes it blew up over $4 instantly and started trading heavy... running into the $179s

Then at 8:02 AM my trading app pings me that it has fell below my target range of $175. and is now $174.52 so I instantly click on the notification and its actually in the $179s and again trading at that...

I see weird market blips early AM but not $4 and $5 blasts...... that are retained....

Dark pool. You and your hood buddies are trading amongst yourselves. Probably nothing wrong with that so long as its something fairly liquid.
I haven't seen it like this.... you see weird spikes but they are flashes and go away and of course you see people get nailed on market buys before and after the market but not like this....
This post is about the $4 to $5 spikes...
