I'm half way thinking without getting into a P conversation that Elon is trying to win back the supporters-customers he once had by grandstanding today..
Cash is King........
I'm not buying in this time however.

He suddenly became extremely popular to the usual demographic that buys his vehicles...
People don't forget so easily. I think there is a good chance the Tesla brand is ruined, perhaps forever (and I'm a Tesla owner).

When people acknowledge that Tesla is probably the best EV, and are looking to buy an EV, and won't consider buying a Tesla there is a serious problem.

What to do with my Tesla? I don't care very much if the value is diminished. I bought it to drive it (for my usual 18 - 20 years) and that's what I plan to do. It might not be worth much at the end but that would be true no matter what.

What to do with Tesla stock? Connect the dots.

Employment release, pertinant parts:

"Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 139,000 in May, and the unemployment rate was
unchanged at 4.2 percent"

"The change in total nonfarm payroll employment for March was revised down by 65,000, from
+185,000 to +120,000, and the change for April was revised down by 30,000, from +177,000 to
+147,000. With these revisions, employment in March and April combined is 95,000 lower than
previously reported. "
/ I am shocked :ROFLMAO:

Happy Friday to the markets start today :)
Me more than happy now that my unrealized META loss is back to its former 40% unrealized gain. Glad I hung in there, couldnt find a reason to bailout of the largest advertising platform known to mankind (I think)

Unrealized loss on AMZN is getting close to break even again

WMT as usual is stable as a cement post

Maybe I shouldn't check the market for the rest of the day. ;)

Gold can be confiscated, but if it really gets that bad it can be buried in the ground, or sewn into your clothes like refugees have for centuries. Barring that - it should keep up with inflation - like it has since 1973.
Can it? I know that it's been done, historically. I'm not sure that sort of private property confiscation will ever happen again. Sure, anything is possible since there seem to be an infinite number of loopholes in the Constitution - it's pretty much a useless document when Uncle Sam wants it to be.

The main issue with gold is even if not confiscated, you'd need to figure out a way to divide it for transport and spending, as well as not getting caught during the latter. It's a good store of value, but that's about it.

I agree that nothing stops this train, but we know from history that gold can be confiscated and bitcoin, well, that’s another fiat, not sure why people think it’s safe.
It's no longer fiat. There's quite a bit of infrastructure in place to mine/spend by producers/consumers. There are all sorts of tangibles and intangibles in place. That's why it continues to be the leader. If it were so simple to supplant it, it would've happened already.
