The guy who posted thread (a few weeks ago) he wants to retire at 50 and live off dividends needs to follow your style of trading.

Money can be made whether the markets are going up or down.

I forgot the guy’s name but lots of people gave him great advice.
My friend in TN did great a few years ago flipping the old Phillips 66
And his wife is clueless and forced him into dividends as she knows nothing of the stock market... he had no choice to keep the peace.

He does okay but he used to say he was printing money flipping the oil stocks.

I know I'll get beat up here but in my mind I would need about $3 to 5 million invested
to make dividends work and the interest to stay at 4 to 5% if retired

Ford does give you double dividends every February which is great.

I held out for dividends for Ford this year but waiting quartley for dividends is boring to me and I'd try to get the monthly payers. I'm sure people make it work but I wouldn't be one of those.

Global tariff war might make COVID look like a walk in the park.
Yeah, I dont disagree
With that said, overseas governments will cave/not allow it to happen after a period of tough talk. They are in far worse shape then us to weather a trade war including their defense spending issues. More so when we are just asking for equality

Edit: I rarely eat breakfast (my wife does on weekends) when I join her I like real ingredients.
just a couple month back I paid $18 on Amazon for this jar organic maple syrup from Canada (My wife couldn't believe it *LOL*)
Anyway, I doubt I will pay anymore and will be forced to Vermont syrup and might have to skip the organic. either that or I got ripped off on Amazon for this purchase 🙃

Off topic: Costco sources their maple syrup from Canada and it sells for about $12.99 per 32oz (quart). Will be interesting to see if it goes up in price. Amazon sells 128oz. (gallon) for $55 delivered: https://www.amazon.com/Little-Man-S...rup+gallon,aps,111&sr=8-18&xpid=9Qt4lQJGBJ4eB

Finally, I wouldn't let the "organic" marketing affect one's decision. Maple syrup is made in natural sugar maple woodlots. There's almost zero chance of any genetically modified sugar maple trees grown there. And, pesticides are extremely/rarely used in sugar maple woodlots compared to horticulture and agriculture crops. I'll take a wild azz guess that almost all maple syrup is organic.

Yeah, you know, I thought about that too and agree on the organic part. Nice to know about Costco!
I am curious though, the one I bought and search for was "dark" syrup. Is that a bogus claim?
Not so much concerned about organic in maple syrup/

Not really , I'm down like 170. In the stock and around the same in the options. I have little over 10 months left on the options. I'm no pro , I just dabble . My serious money is managed for 2% . I met with my guy Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. , it was a scheduled meeting not emergency meeting. You should have heard those phones ringing in that office . Lol .

Zimbabwe is down with no T's
Unlike most I have faith...
Of course Zimbabwe probably buys less than Vietnam 😆

They may become the new home for First Brands 😁

I'm hoping cousin Elon buys me new tires for the VW and a new roof this week...
