*Investors Blog*

Still playing hard guys...no pretender here folks....just got another 10 cents

You’re a more advanced trader than 95% of investors of here.

How did you get into options ?

I’ve never done options, I think it might turn me into a gambler.
Btw I’m quite the idiot behind the keyboard/nut behind the wheel. I keep myself out of trouble keeping my allocations small. There are at least three guys here who throw a lot more around

Not sure why you post in this thread, but you certainly are free to do so.
There are clearly more than one that don't invest their own money but come to this thread to diss those that do. I assume its some sort of re-affirmation to themselves there making the right choice? Its the financial version of thick vs thin. :ROFLMAO:

Definitely no a whale like several here. I have definitely learned more than I have added - if I have added anything to this thread. I just endeavor to understand how the markets actually work - which is very different than the real economy.

I felt this way 17 years or more ago... but the voters ... well ... you know.
Yep - if the banking system fails its a giant reset to the entire system - so they will kick the can as long as they can using schemes undreamed of yet. Trying to predict when the can stops is a fools errand IMHO. Should be spectacular when it does happen.

Periodic system reset occurrence is what I was taught as a "natural" part of our economy in high school economics class circa 1973.

I just inherited my parent's modest brokerage account and am going to go big based on all of the excellent advice I get here. ;)
Maybe go here and flip a coin? https://www.wallstreetzen.com/stock-screener/high-risk-high-reward-stocks

tonque-in-cheek, of course.

There are those of us who enjoy watching the "Ballers" play. :)

I need to read that book. Thanks. (y)
These are the books I've read to learn about options.
I'm a KISS kind of guy, and I'm 68 yrs old, so I only sell cash covered puts when volatility is high thus achieving 100%+ annualized returns.

It's in the news this morning. I dont want to post the link. Protests are erupting across China as workers are being laid off, furloughed, time off with no pay etc. You can do a search yourself "protests break out in China" I see radio free Asia mentioned it a few days ago, today it was a story in NY post. Keep in mind it's not easy to protest in China but it's happening and growing.

No politics, it is news for investors if this keeps spreading, the pressure is already significant on the ruling party and growing I suspect.
Maybe this will keep up hope for a bounce if they settle with us. I say bounce because we will not know the damage that might have been done after the elation is over. It may take time to recover all over again.
