Has anyone been seeing articles about the current state of China? Are factories getting either shut down, or shift reductions? I've heard a few things, I can't say they come from sources I would trust.

Playing Devil's Advocate -- if this really is beginning to happen, how far can you push 1.4 billion people, who are always one check away from losing everything ?

And American workers/companies as well? Heck, we are talking world wide.

Nothing happens if he gets fired.

Still all the feds own data - PCE, GDP now, beige book - all say short term rates are way too high. But Mr. Transitory ignored his own data last time also? Maybe he doesn’t believe his own data. I don’t.

No one cares about the scarcity of steak and eggs - so as usual they’re ignoring the hardships on Main Street.
Yeah true enough

Talking what?

The longer we are attached to China the worse it will be. Way way worse. You really have demonstrated some kind of block or blindness. Unsure of cause? Lack of knowledge

China is not our friend

The birth of the monster is better early. Not after it is full grown

You understand these are not targeted tariffs, right? They are world wide, excluding Russia and North Korea. Are they our friends?
What about the rest of the world, like Mexico and Canada?

But we agree on China. In fact, targeted tariffs and import policy has been effective in deterring predatory exports from China.

I'm up 3 dinner lobster money on PLTR right now and I watched it all day...i.know it will go up as I have a good price on it but I'm so tired of it.... thinking about a pump and dump tonight

Will TSLA tank to $208. Tomorrow
Thoughts...I'm staying out of it...
$208 was the number I got hit with not long ago...I waited it out but it was painful

Paying my income tax shortfall and upcoming property taxes have put a dent in my buying ability. :(

A question for dividend investors... What do you guys think of HOVNP - they are a RE developer in California. I'm thinking with the Palisades fiasco, they are going to have a booming business for the next couple of years. I don't think the "big T" on Canadian lumber and other inputs is going to hamper the development of these areas.

I was up dumping stocks until 1 am
I put in 15 hours yesterday. All dumped for a very modest profit but most were floundering. I'll start back another day... the patterns just aren't there.

I agree 100% that dependence on China for anything more important than cheap clothes is a big problem. I don’t understand the trade war with Canada and Mexico 🤷🏻‍♂️. AFAIK, neither of those countries pose any threats to the US.
Luckily, I put enough cash aside in January to last a few years. I’ll be 591/2 next year, but I would not want to take out of my 401K given that the value has plummeted.
Hopefully the situation is stabilized by 2026-27.
