My wife was involved in a rear end collision and she has never gotten back to normal. She is a health care professional and keeps getting her neck pains - she has stopped wearing jewellery around her neck and also has a hard time putting the coat on. She is not back anywhere close to her normal self.

Now we have medical bills for $5000 and a medical claim opened and AAA only would cover the medical part. She was forced to sell her business as she could not continue to provide treatment to her patients and barely making ends meet post accident. Now 1 yr has passed and she is slowly feeling better but then when she feels better one week next thing is she will complain the next week. So I am tired off it.

The AAA folks are arm twisting us, do we have to file a new claim for wage losses and pain and suffering. Any suggestions, she wants the whole loss to be taken up by her attorney but I am not sure where this will end in costs for us.

+1. The lawyers have made it impossible for a private citizen to defend themselves or use the system.

Hopefully you never settled. If you signed a settlement, you may be SOL. If not, then you need to find good representation to navigate this for you.

Since you live in California, there is an ambulance chasing lawyer on every street corner. Go to the one with the biggest smile, and slicked back hair.

This is a separate incident from the $6500 thread, right?

As the others have said, your best bet may be to hire an attorney at this point. There are sites on the internet that can give you a general overview of how one can handle the "demand" themselves, but you may be better off leaving this one up to an attorney.

Yes, the $6500 makeover was becoz of my unattentive wife.
This claim has been open for more than a year and AAA doesn't get it, they think we are fooling around with #s.

At this point I will get an attorney to work it out.

Any suggestions how to handle these attorneys? Any BKMs.
