Less than 1/3rd of my registration tax. Should be less than 300 for renewals though.

That’s about half what I pay for my Tundra every year.

So, not sure what is problem here. It is vehicle that retains value. It is like my neighborhood people. Values skyrocketed, and you couldn’t start conversation without them telling you how much their house appreciated and how smart they were to purchase it before values skyrocketed.
Then new real-estate valuation came, same people: this is insane, I will sue county etc.
I personally don’t have issue paying it as long as city and county maintains roads. Cheaper than new axle.
