I'm posting this here because it gets much more floor traffic than does the motorcycle forums.

I got this list of ingredients from a MSDS for the synthetic Kawasaki motorcycle oil. I was hoping to get feedback on what you think of these items:

PAO - 60%-75%
Highly refined petroleum lubricant 5%-15%
Di-isodecyl phthalate 5%-10%
zinc and zinc compounds
I ask about this because the product is supposed to be a PAO/Ester fluid. It's $9.95 a quart my Kawasaki shop and I'm thinking of trying it.

What do you guys think of this list for a motorcycle engine?

It's good. A high percentage of PAO's. Then 5-15 of group 3 probably as an additive carrier is a pretty normal thing. zddp, 2% would be 2000ppm so that's about right. Not sure about the last ingredient. That could be the Ester.

Thanks for the input guys. I bought 5 quarts for my first oil change so I'll see how it shifts throughout this summer. I didn't know if that di-isodecyl thingy was the ester.
