Improving Fram Filters

Depending on the model, they can do a better job on the threads IMO. My diesel garden tractors can use the 7317, but I’ve gone to WIX on the last few changes because the threads were so bad. WIX is so expensive nowadays, I might as well buy Kubota filters.

The 3980 my Blazer and C1500 take has been fine thread wise.

Fix the metal-to-metal seal area fit and finish on the Endurance. Lacking that, bring back the OG Ultra, yeah that's not happening.

Implement Kaizen. Bring back synthetic wire backed media. Reduce their product line to trim fat and price to be competitive. Oh, make all filters in the US, think some were made in Mexico?

Better quality threads. They should have a design like the Purolators. Endocarps for sure on their lower end filters

Over all, always striving for improvement. The wired backed synthetic media was clutch and the way to go and stay. They went with the design they have now which is not popular but "gets" the job done.

Continuous learning is another aspect, in this case, come to these **** forums and learn what oil heads want. Do primary and secondary market research as well, striving to be the best.

The best thing that Fram could do to improve their filters is to buy a million Carquest Premium filters and paint their logos on them
