In my direct personal experience, this often applies doubly to college professors and medical service providers. Often, they assume some knowledge in a narrow field validates all of their opinions, even outside their field.Richard Feynman is a personal hero of mine. Quirky guy but really fun to listen to him speak. Dunning-Kruger is real. A little bit of knowledge makes people believe they can rationalize with common sense very detailed and nuanced ideas. The more you know, the more you understand the importance of understanding details/nuance, and that you do not understand the details/nuance, but there are people who do it every day who do.
I've seen it across all spectrums of people. In my direct personal experience, this often applies doublely to college professors and medical service providers. Often, they assume some knowledge in a narrow field validates all of their opinions, even outside their field.
Ya think?I've seen it across all spectrums of people.
