Don't need to. Increases in compression and reduction in oil consumption prove that the ring pack is cleaner. Compression testing is a far better method than pictures ever would be.

Been there, done that. See the links below for my results.

Sentra

Ford Tractor

Try different products and hit it from all sides.

Auto Rx

Lube Control

Kreen from Kanolabs

Alternate every other OCI. I am very interested in Kreen, but all my engine internals are clean. This could be the ticket for you with the other products knocking it from a different angle.

thankyou all for the great replies.... I really love the enthusiasm of this forum and the people here!!..

I should clarify.. when talking about the effects of ARX in previous posts in this thread- i'm talking about 2 separate vehicles...

the pictures you see are of a 2001 suzuki swift 1.3L weedwacker engine.. I noticed the engine seems to run slightly smoother, since getting into the rinse phase- I stopped noticing the moring puffs...

The other ARX experience- is an entirly differenet vehicle- a 95 isuzu rodeo with (now) 190,000 miles on it... I did not take pictures there- but I did do 2 full treatments, with very noticable results... (hydrolic adjuster tapping reduced- especially on cold starts, noticable power increase and at least a MPG gain, oil burning seems to be *slightly* less than before)...

My little suzuki is proof of what idiot ownership can do to a vehicle is just 50,000 miles... wonder if it ever had an oil change.

It's also my theory that the head is the last place to be cleaned by auto-rx.

Places that receive pressurized oil flow and more heat would be cleaned first.

My Supra's engine after 60,000 miles, unknown history - all I did to it after I got it was put 5,000 miles on it with GC, then I let the car sit for 5 months before I pulled off the valve covers to take the pic:

I'm amazed that you could have that much sludge buildup in fewer miles than mine. the previous owner of your swift must have not changed the oil at all!

-- or he must have used Pennzoil and Fram!!!! Haha!

I would guess that the oil was eithor A: never changed, or B: changed less than 3 times with lousy oil...

If I had to take a guess- I'd say there was a teenage female involved with that sludge buildup.

jsharp and SSDude- Where is Chevron Delo (dino) available in 10w30? I cannot find this on the Chevron website or in any stores.
