I agree with that. So in reality most of the "branded" filters being quoted I would not consider a jobber filter, just a standard duty filter?I'd think a "jobber" filter would be those primary used by quick service lube places like Grease Monkey, Jiffy Lube, etc. They are usually off branded cheap filters. A jobber filter isn't really defined by its price.
Leaf spring on fiber end cap should seal fine unless the center tube won't allow the leaf spring to sit correctly on the end cap (rare occurrence).Fram Orange can from walmart. I do not believe their flashlight QC issues spread to their bread/butter
At the intersection of hunger and satisfaction....where evening becomes darkness....Where does a jobber end and non-jobber start?
The Carquest Premium seems like a no brainier if you can get them for $4.Me personally if I wanted to I’d probably go Prime Guard since they are $2.99 or. CARQUEST premium since I can get them $4. Wouldn’t touch ST or any First Brands filth though.
What would you use?

Wonder why they pulled the MP filters - real value in those …I'm sold on SuperTech. The filters for most of my vehicles are around $4 or less. I looked at a bunch of C&P posts on here and they seem to be an exceptionally well made filter especially for the price. And to top it off they're made in USA.
Good question. I noticed at my walmart that there are fewer First Brand products in General - and a lot more OEM filters, so I wonder if there simply trying to diversify their supply chain. Still just as many FRAM though?Wonder why they pulled the MP filters - real value in those …
(eBay finds on one vehicle and my lawn tractor now) …
I found a six pack of OG Titanium’s for $11/each and will run 2x 5k … so that motor is set for a long time … still have four UPF/PF63’s too …Good question. If you like them there pretty much just a Champ XL painted blue. Was more convenient to get at walmart though. I bought the last 4 MP7317 filters my store had a year ago.
