Same thing at BOTH of the WMs by me, I couldn't find it at either store when I first looked. It was stuck in the camping section on an end cap in both stores, and the last time I looked it was still there.
I'd guess it's since there are RV owners whom actually try to take care of their overpriced behemoths. I don't know how many I'd seen over the years griping their battery from 1994 won't turn over the motor any longer.

Well, C-M has put almost everyone else out of buisness the last 20 or so years. Its defined as a monopoly. BTW, QS is MIA in my nearest C-M...

China-Mart should not offend anybody. It is after all China-Mart.
99.99% of all items there are made in China.
Perhaps the 'Wal' in Walmart refers to the Great Wall of China.

Just asking, but what about K-Mart or Target? Do they sell as much China made products as WM?

Excellent point Tig. But when they have a obvious bias with a company then no matter what the facts are not important. (IE the Walmart has an made in china air conditioner system for the store... Bull)

Just amazing to see so much hate for companies these days. If someone can not get a job there its because of the company, never could be the applicant.

Heaven forbid they they employ people. They should be out of business so more people are out of work.

Don't like it, don't go there. But leave the bashing/bias somewhere else.

Back to the OP. They have very qualified people (prob more than some oil board guys) who know how things sell and to whom. If they put the oil in another section it is for a reason. IF something does not sell on the shelf its gone. Shelf space is very important and why they are successful (and why other business "they put out in the last 20 years" are gone.

Bill

Pennzoil likely didnt pay for the prime real estate at the end of the oil isle. You have to pay for that. Castrol has that space here, right now.

EXACTLY! Or maybe he does! Some of these post are border line crazy. You saw it, but you are complaining that they didn't have it in a certain location? They had it where it belongs...on the end because it isn't selling at all.

It certainly was not my intention to offend anyone by calling China-Mart by it's well-deserved name of China-Mart. I walked in China-Mart because I had to kill about 30min. time and China-Mart's made in China air conditioniing was cooler than the 98 degree temps outside. We purchased nothing at this China-Mart and did not intend to buy anything at this China-Mart. I did look at an American flag but it was made in China there at China-Mart as well. My purpose was to simply state that I don't think it's Pennzoil's intention to have their big endcap displays packed on a shelf in another department. China-Mart's fault? did not say it was. Does Pennziol really want it displayed that way at China-Mart? Who knows. We left China-Mart quite content. May I also say that that was my first visit to China-Mart in quite a long time.

Really???? This response isn't worth replying back to. 99.999% of your response is Bull.

There are plenty of unskilled displaced North American factory workers who would be more than happy to be working in a factory once again, rather than seeing their lives evaporate as they lose their jobs, then their cars, then their houses.
All it would take would be for all of us to buy locally made goods where possible, and avoid those made in China.
I would be willing to spend another buck or two on the goods that I buy, if that would mean that my fellow citizens could have jobs.
Some of us have reaped the benefits of globalization.
Many have not.

OK -

I'm locking this thread. Here's why:

1) This site, and particularly this PCMO forum, is supposed to be about passenger car motor oil topics DIRECTLY related to the oil composition, oil use, oil performance, etc. Why are we discussing marketing product placment in a retail store?

2) Everyone knows what "Chinamart" means, and I don't care one way or another. But it always leads to political/national debates, and that's taboo, and most of you know it.

Got questions about why this is locked? Re-read items #1 and #2, then if you don't understand, PM me.
