IE 9 Does Not See Flash Player Now. What to do?

First, I want to fix the problem, I do not want it to a "just use Google Chrome" topic please...

I've had IE9 on my Win Vista computer for a long time. No issues at all. Got LOTS of sites saved and I do not want to re-create those lists. I listen to Radio shows, etc where I need the Flash player.

So. Downloaded "Glary Utilities 3" to clean-up the slowed down computer.

Now, I go to broadcast sites and it says it needs Flash and provodes a link to go get it. I've followed the link & re-installed it. 3 times.

I have Flash!

I even Uninstalled it, installed the latest Flash, ensured it is there and IE 9 still doesn't see it.

Google Chrome sees it and the sites play on Chrome just fine!

So, how do I get IE 9 to see the Flash that's on my computer??

Was correct flash player installed? There's one for IE and different one for other browsers. Chrome comes with its own flash player so checking it in chrome isn't helpful. Also, is it enabled in the add-ons in IE?

ahhh the pros and cons of those utilities! I have WiseCare365, Ccleaner and Glary all installed and they all find things the others won't, but Glary seems to disable anything they think will slow down your computer.

IIRC glary has an option for their 1-click maintenance to keep it from automatically disabling add-ons. At least my version does. Try clicking around the prefs and set it appropriately so it doesn't do that you again!

This is what I use, but also like Opera. Don't use Chrome. Personally, the only one I really liked was Netscape back in the day. Heck, I use the netscape skin on Firefox

Curious as to why the IE hating....? I use Chrome, Firefox, and IE and all have their pros and cons. I will admit previous to IE10 I hated it, but 10 is now pretty [censored] good.

Lots of folks using older Processors. I cannot get above IE 8 with my Windows XP and it just doesn't work as well, or feature as many options, as Mozilla Firefox.

That's a reason I can understand, but that is no reason to bash IE for keeping up with the changing technology lol. To each their own! Honestly, i'm just giving you a hard time... If I were in that position, I would probably do the same

As a web application developer IE is awful to work with. It has no decent debugging/development tools which FireFox and Chrome have superior ones.
