My car idle rough like rpm going down then it'll come back to normal rpm.
My cai have big hole on the pipe of cai will I did put some tape around the cai. Does this still can cause rough idle the problem even if tape is there?

Can some tell me what should I do? I'm upset.

Vacuum leak.
As you already know, it;s the intake.
If the part does not flex, use a sealer. NON silicone RTV can work. let it dry thoroughly!

Which sealer do you recommend? And let's say one has used a silicone rtv sealer for a vacuum leak, consequences?

I've heard silicone of any type is bad for the emissions, it'll eat up sensors and possibly the cat....?

Probably easier just to switch out the vac lines that are cracked/dry rotted.....

Why is there a hole in your CAI? Was it damaged? It seems like duct tape would work as a short-term fix, but if the intake is damaged, there may be another vacuum leak you missed.

I said use a NON silicone RTV sealer.
A sensor safe version. Very common like Permatex Ultra blue.

There are dozens of ways to fix your intake. Maybe even epoxy.
Each case is diffferent, and it depends on the material it is made of.

I don't know anything about Takeda, but a new intake is a good idea if yours has holes in it.

I still don't really understand how the old one got holes in it. It's metal, right? Or do you mean that the filter has holes in it from rubbing?

Yes it was rubbing against the wall metal. The pipe got hole not the filter.
