I think I'm done changing my own oil.

For less than $25 you can barely buy the supplies yourself anymore for an average, everyday 4cyl car oil change.

We used to be able to change oil ourselves with a full synthetic for the same cost as a basic shop oil change.

I'm getting to the point I enjoy it less as well.

My point exactly. I don't know if you remember when Walmart first opened up in Buffalo area, they used to have supertech oil for 89 cents per quart all the time. Havoline 5 quart jugs were 7 dollars.

Add in a 3 dollar filter, you are looking at a 10 dollar oil change. That is worth doing.

Now, there is a shop within walking distance of my shop that is a supposed AAA "Top Shop" sponsored by NAPA, etc..

They change oil and rotate tires every day for 29.99. Sold.
 
If you can find a place that will change your oil for free and give the kid 10 bucks to do it, go for it,,,thats what I do now. PS, take your own oil,lol..................
