So their response was sending a link to their web site?
Impressive!
Personally I don't see anything wrong with it. Is it anything like telling people here to search when they ask a question that has been covered numerous times?
Maybe the person at Mobil answering the email should have done a cut and paste of what was on their web site!
Please. Yeah no difference coming to a web site (that sells nothing) and asking the same question that has been asked many times before (often within a short time period) vs a company with paid employees trying to get someone to switch (or justify) their use of an product that costs more than the average competitors product.
No difference...
Like I said would you have been happier if they had done a cut and paste?
The arrogance of some people surprises even me!
Maybe you should go work for Exxon/Mobil and show them the correct way to do things!
BTW, have you ever considered that maybe the person answering the emails made a simple mistake? I've seen a lot of weird things happen when sending/receiving email. But I guess it's easier to think the worst.
