I need to wake up and drive right

Good point - there really is no difference with a city bus or school bus.
Kids and short people ride public transportation.

Any time sympathy needs to be invoked for any cause, the 'race card' of inserting the word 'children' is used.

I really feel awful that I am capable of making the mistake of passing a bus. It just goes to prove that when there are enough things on your mind in combination with perhaps being tired, even normal responsible people can cause harm. I lay awake at night thinking about how bad the outcome could have been.
What I don't like is the way these potential problems are dealt with. The number one priority should be making sure this doesn't happen. I think they pretend to but the heart of the politicians and lawmakers is not really in the right place.
When the sun is shinning on a yellow bus and you are not focusing in that direction the yellow lights are not obvious. Strobes would be much more effective and should be installed if they are serious of getting attention. I don’t know how long the red lights had been on by the time I was at the side of the bus.
I ride a motorcycle and normally am very aware of everything going on around me. This is why it is so hard for me to figure out how I could make this mistake.
