I need help tecumseh 4hp throttle and governor linkage

I replaced the carb on this engine

143.984001​

The engine runs great but only at super high rpm. Has a side trottle with a turtle and a rabbit. I have a linkage from the throttle lever to the governor, there appears to be no linkage control the speed of the engine. I may have lost the throttle linkage. The parts diagrams online only show the governor linkage. Can anyone help with any info on this. Its only been used maybe 10 time in its 23 yr life. Its a craftsman edger.

Subscribed; I have 2 (80's) snow blowers with that 4HP engine, that just won't run right. I'm ready to put them both at the curb.
