Perspective.

You buy a new home, move in. You've been there 3 weeks, haven't unpacked it all yet, and the fridge is empty 'cuz you've been too tired to get to the store. One of the toilets, you've just discovered, has a leak. And the car probably needs an oil change. You're tired.

Guy next door comes over and offers to change your oil, even though your way of using JL has always been fine. He poops on JL (and hence your judgment of using JL) and is so adamant about it he'll even bring the filter and change your oil himself.
1. he's just inadvertently told you that your method is inferior
2. he quite zealous about this... um, this is weird
3. he seems to mean well, but considering 1 and 2, something doesn't feel right. WHY is this so important? Is he making a pass? I just don't want to deal with this right now

Any "radical" behavior such as aggressive OCI-OCD need to go easy on those that might not share the same interests.

Oil is oil to most and in reality to most US consumers that works out fine. If she likes going to the place its better, especially if she can turn up dated oil change receipts if her vehicle is still under warranty and has one of those rare oil related problems.

I go to the dealer while under powertrain warranty as its only $30, they perform in <45 mins, get an OEM filter and have receipts if anything transpires.
