What did you use to trim? I bet you scratched it up and now it is irritated.

If you left 1/4 inch it shouldnt feel any different than if you had 2 inches of chest hair

+1

Left about 3/4 inch. Just wanted to thin it down. Fail.

How long was it before you trimmed it? 4 inches? You could have braided your chest hair into corn rows and become a hairy rapper.

The Fluffy Chest Hip Hop

In The Style Of Eminem for SumpChump

May I have your attention please?
I'm not afraid (I'm not afraid)
To shave (to shave)
Everybody (everybody)
Come take my chest (come take my chest)
We'll walk through hood together, through the storm
Whatever weather, cold or warm

His chest are wooly, legs fluffy, butt are scratchy
There's food on his sweater already, mother's cheese
He's nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready to shave,
But he keeps on forgetting what he wrote down,

And I am, hairy
If I wasn't, then why would I say I am?
In the paper, the news everyday I am
Radio won't even play my jam
'Cause I am, hairy
If I wasn't, then why would I say I am?
In the paper, the news everyday I am
I don't know it's just the way I am

You better cut off
You own it, you better never let it go
You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to shave
This opportunity comes once in a lifetime yo
You better cut off
You own it, you better never let it go
You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to shave
This opportunity comes once in a lifetime yo

So lets go back
Follow the trend as we go on another episode
Journey with me as I take you through hood
I once used to call home sweet home

Well, gotta go, I'm almost at the Eiffel Tower now

And when I'm gone, just shave, don't mourn
Rejoice every time you hear the sound of my wooly chest
Just know that I'm looking down on you shaving
And I didn't feel a thing, So baby don't feel no pain
Just cut off

And when he's gone, just shave, don't mourn
Rejoice every time you hear the sound of his fluffy legs
Just know that he's looking down on you itching
And his didn't feel a thing, So baby don't feel no pain
Just cut off in your sweater.

Maybe you didn't go far enough? I use the 1/8" guard every 2 weeks. Every hair from my chest to my knees gets cut to the same length, I'm not super hairy so maybe that contributes to it not being uncomfortable.

Added benefit of keeping up on it is the hairs go right down the drain.

Yes, lotion and powder will help a bit...

Pray tell, how do you know? I always thought the only good reasons for a fellow to shave his fur are if he is a lot around sand while wearing sun protection, or of he is a bicyclist who wants to minimize infection risk when getting his legs all scratched up. By the by, have you guys ever noticed that even the most hairy pizza baker has usually baby butt smooth and totally hairless arms and hands?

I don't understand what all of the shock and awe and calling for the mods is about. Its a post about trimming chest hair in the 'Off Topic' section.

I have no experience with this, but did you shower afterwards? I can imagine those little bits of trimmed hair could cause more irritation than the 3/4 inches of chest hair you left.

This thread is useless without pics. Well no, never mind.

I actually just shaved my entire chest because I had a stress echo and they did only spots for the sensors. It looked weird with bald spots and fur. Surprised that It doesn't itch .

Oh boy, get ready. When it gets back to be just long enough to slightly curve back down towards the skin.... It will poke you and itch. I didnt go short enough so i created sharp cut edges now pushed almost straight back down by my shirt.

Suffering.

I want my hair back! [censored] you metrosexuals, i'll never listen to you again.

Removing hair from your chest? I wouldn't admit to that on a DIY wrenching/Car forum.

It's the fresh edges, you will get used to it.

Haha that's what I was thinking. Should we post some "bod pic selfies"?

Why did you do it to begin with? What's wrong with chest hair? I could MAYBE see an appearance issue with gobs of back hair like a gorilla or something....but chest hair?

I IGNORE the hairless trend and couldn't care less what the younger crowd thinks is proper "grooming". Most of them can't even knot a proper tie or use the right fork at dinner.....I sure don't want to emulate my body hair to resemble a prepubescent boy.

Just my opinion. Good luck waiting for it to grow out.
