That's the high end one. Same specs on the lower end for $20k ish.30k+ for model with AC does 55hp/144 torque seem low from a 2.7L turbo diesel?
also 3000lb+
Looks like an interesting vehicle.. but at 30k+ there is alot of competition.
Could convert it? Would need blinkers and a horn, right?Sadly - not street legal. It sure is appealing, though…
yeah except open to the elements with no ac or heat. If you go no AC you might as well buy a classic jeep you could drive on the road. That's the high end one. Same specs on the lower end for $20k ish.
I think that is close to the cutoff for not having def. It wouldn't need much since it is an off-road vehicle. Not ment to run 70mph down the highway and have a 3 second 0-60.30k+ for model with AC does 55hp/144 torque seem low from a 2.7L turbo diesel?

I agree. UTVs are ridiculous prices these days. Your suggestions are good
Yea I'd rather not jack with something for close to the same price that's 75yrs old and worse in just about every way. I say this having owned one at deer camp.
Mahindra is based in India and Chicken Tax is for Europe.Chicken tax applied?
My buddy's $48k CanAm doesn't have it either. My John Deere 825i was $19.7k (bought it used with 2hrs for 10k from a doctor) and doesn't come with anything different. 3500lb towing capacity and 2.7L diesel is awesome.yeah except open to the elements with no ac or heat. but I see the appeal.
The 25% "chicken tax" was originally meant to target the pickup versions of the VW Microbus/Kombi, but it applies to all imported pickups (fully assembled when imported) and 2–door SUVs. That's why the Japanese pickups are built in North America. That's also one reason of many that we don't get the Mazda BT-50 here.Mahindra is based in India and Chicken Tax is for Europe.

So you would rather have an Indian built knock off with an electronic controlled turbo diesel you won’t get parts for in 10 years. Got it.Yea I'd rather not jack with something for close to the same price that's 75yrs old and worse in just about every way. I say this having owned one at deer camp.
Right, but only because of the rules that have been added since 1960 or so. If this was a 1960 model year Chevy, it would be perfectly legal.Sadly - not street legal. It sure is appealing, though…
The tow rating is at 15 mphMahindra is based in India and Chicken Tax is for Europe.

Putting an old Jeep body on the frame is a popular modification. VIN # leads to street legal.Could convert it? Would need blinkers and a horn, right?
Which is fine. That's all you need doing working tasks around the barn. Even then a rating is generally based on tranny cooling and stopping power. The tow rating is at 15 mph
You can actually go to dirtlegal and get it handled for you. But in Tx we routinely drive miles in our UTVs on roads legally between the properties.Putting an old Jeep body on the frame is a popular modification. VIN # leads to street legal.
