I honestly think overall this is the best auto forum I've ever been on. The info, stories, kindness from the members... good stuff. With the past 3 cars I've owned I've tried to get into a good forum specifically for that type of vehicle. Yea, I can't do it. The amount of trolling and flame wars you encounter is crazy. I know this is common internet practice but with these car forums most of the members are in their 30's or 40's. I give up.

The solid professionalism of information on this site Is the sole reason for being here.With no pop-ups or static ads between posts or signature lines (half-page ad)that describe every add-on someone has put on the vehicle.Of course,there are racing and off-road forums for that, too.The frames and layouts are very well done.

Not me. I hate this forum. Because of you guys I now have close to 80 quarts of various brands of oil (PU, Kendall, Mobil 1, PP, Napa, G-Oil, Quaker State Ultimate Durability). Now I wish I had more cars! My friends think I'm weird! Gotta go. Just saw Rotella T-6 on sale at O'Reilly's. I hate you guys!

Most car forums, the avatars alone are x-rated.

The ONLY time I go to other auto related forums is after the knowledge runs out here. Maybe a very specific question about some minute variant, other exotica - but even then BITOG will give at least a starting clue.

Only other vehicle forum I frequent is Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forum. They are great for any questions about Fords or any other make of vehicle.

This is a great forum but it hasn't got me to the point of hoarding oil! LOL!

Usually, the best members at other forums are BITOG members as well. A lot of other forum members send posters to BITOG for the definitive "truth" about stuff. I do ....

I have had a lot of fun and good times over the years on Dodge truck, Chevy truck, and now Jeep forums.

I enjoy BITOG but do not find it even close to the best forum on the inetrnet. It has it's share of trolls and wars and it is seems to be over moderated at times.

This forum is much more 'adult' in the actions of the posters.
Sure, some use this place as a personal 'blog' for silly nonsense, but overall it is pleasant.

This is a great forum for all the other car stuff that's important such as oils, tires, fuels, and the like. There are some nice model-specific forums I frequent, but I do defer to here for choices on everything else not model-specific.

The posters also make this site great. Glad to be reading you folks!

Total agreement here. I cannot stand the juvenile "hey look at me and what my vehicle has" endless show and tell lists. It's rare I go to other vehicle specific forums, although Allpar is overall nicely done and the one alternate site I go to.

This one of the more civil male-dominated forum out there.

With most male-dominated forums, testosterone levels run high and things degrade to p-ssing matches pretty often. We get that here occasionally but it's not as often as other places

plus people here are knowledgable about all sorts of DIY stuff. If someone says something wrong, they'll be corrected

I enjoy visting BITOG several times a day on average. I really like the general politeness. I used to call it the oil site when talking to my wife or sons but now I call it the guy site as there is a lot more of interest than just oil. Hope I don't get flamed for calling it "just oil" JK.
