Today Texas generated 18,000 MW of solar power at peak and 16,000 MW of wind power. Tomorrow Texas will generate over 42,000 MW with solar and wind combined. Fort Collins, CO generated 20 MW of solar power. Texas isn't here to mess around.
Unfortunate that there's no price listed and no mention of whether it's getting REC's or some other financing scheme. At least Arizona has lots of otherwise unused land.
This company is backed by Shell, so I don't think they'll go bankrupt. I get the comment about the corporate welfare, but, there are lots of drilling leases on public land as well. And cattle grazing, so forth.
