Almost 8 square miles...
Mine takes 1.5 to produce 1430MW round the clock.
Same daily output, the mentioned project would need to be 45 square miles.

We already have 7k acres total … and passing other counties I run up on solar farms too … they are just low profile compared to the 2 wind farms I passed today … There are +/- 125 solar plants in Texas

Unfortunate that there's no price listed and no mention of whether it's getting REC's or some other financing scheme. At least Arizona has lots of otherwise unused land.
I think its a good idea, but not on BLS land. If - or should I say when - it goes belly up, the taxpayer is left holding the bag

This company is backed by Shell, so I don't think they'll go bankrupt. I get the comment about the corporate welfare, but, there are lots of drilling leases on public land as well. And cattle grazing, so forth.
