How's That Made on Discovery Channel just showed how oil filters are made and the company just happened to be Fram. Of course it showed the infamous cardboard endcaps. It was actually pretty interesting though. Pretty much all automated.

My daughter(3yo) and I love How It's Made.

The Fram one was pretty good.

I haven't caught the Fram one. The caged ball bearing one was really amazing. I don't think I saw a human for the majority of the process. It looked, at times, as though it would be a challenge to service the machinery if it broke down. It didn't appear like a human (spacewise) friendly environment.
