How's everyone liking the XenForo look?

I understand the need for updated software and the importance of being more mobile device friendly, but I just wish it was more elastically pleasing than this crimson red, white, and grey scheme. To me that's the colour scheme you'd choose if you were building a shoe factory in 1970's communist Hungary.

Since UBB is no longer the forum software, Your bookmarks are out of date. You can either create a new bookmark, or just remove the “UBB” portion of the old one.

Simply removing 'UBB' in an old thread link address doesn't work. I tried changing an old thread address format to the same as the new threads have as shown below.

Old thread link format:
https://bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/5454120

Changed to the new software's thread link format:
https://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/threads/5454120

Still doesn't open up the old thread. Tried many combos, but still no luck. Don't think it's possible for any old thread to be opened up with a morphed link address. If someone knows how, please post up the process.

I'd have to say, I like it, with one exception: the smilies. For some reason I prefer the older ones.

Personally, I thought the emojis with UBB were pathetic. They were so small (in the selection window, at least), that I could barely tell what each one was supposed to be. I had to hover over them to get the pop-up to confirm. I also think the ones used with XF are very standardized. They look just like the ones on our phones, on Facebook, and so on. I suspect the UBB ones were in a "library" or similar and had to be added or uploaded to the site.

Is it me or didn't the old system kept the small column (latest threads etc) on the page even when you're navigating a forum or thread, I liked having the small column shown that way I can keep hopping to the next new thread.

Always liked this forum for its layout, lack of garbage all over the page. Nice clean look and works the same.
I do not at all like the menu on the right side of the page, not the typical layout of any internet websites, completely unnatural to me to have the content on the left side and menu on the right side.
But whatever, will get used to it, a newcomer might have an issue with it.
