I was wondering what was up when there was a message that everything was being restored from a backup. My only problem was that my password was no longer accepted, but I just reset it and entered my old password.

Yeah, me too on the password part. I thought I had been losing my memory for a good bit there... Otherwise... It is seemingly a good upgrade.
Doesn't look like avatars have been enabled. That would normally be in "Account Details".
I remember the really old one. What was it? Something about "oildrop" with some funky looking URL?

Yeah - that was it. I maintained one of my old bookmarks but then deleted it since it went nowhere. Looking at the Web Archive, the last time they have a snapshot was in January 2008.

I also had to specifically mark a link if I didn't want a preview to show up, but just the text.
It's crap with nothing useful, but I WILL change my mind eventually, once i get used to it.

Definitely easier to navigate on a phone, and the dark mode works better IMO.
I do miss how easy it was to jump back to the main forum though. It used to be Forum>General and Off Topic>Thread your currently in. Now it just shows General and Off Topic, click that and it brings you back one, gotta click another to go to the main forum listing. I’ll get used to it eventually.
