EV owners are going to have to pay Federal Highway taxes like gasoline cars do at 18.5 cent a gallon. It's unjust at the present time that EV owners are not paying this tax to use our roadways. However they will, one thing at a time.

False, EV owners already pay more the 19 cents tax and in the future will have to pay until it hurts.

Our ACTUAL federal road expenditures are only about 6% paid for by private cars based on the reality of collections versus the size of the shortfall and this has been the case for at least 20 years. (.gov throws in lots of 10’s of billions in there from general funds every year)

Our local ma roads jockey said every man woman and child owed $10,000 a year if we expected to repair roads and infrastructure in the state.

Can’t always get what you want (and if you do you might be extraordinarily unhappy about it)

Those of us who oppose nearly all tax increases do so because we have been burned by state “white whales” like roads where increasing funding has no affect on road quality.
