How to remove stuck well cap?

take a hammer and tap firmly on it (cover) first, the get some CRC Freeze off and spray on it and down bolt holes also providing you can get them out if not tap or pound on bolts to remove them.when attempting to remve use a large pipe wrench and use a twisting motion back and fourth,, a air zip gun with a blunt tip may also work to crack seal (vibration),,good luck.
Definitely DO NOT remove the bolts. Just loosen. The "half moon" plates will drop in the well if you undo the bolts all the way.

UPDATE:

Ended up getting 5 air hoses from many friends as the pump house is not close to the air compressor, cranked the cheapie 60 gallon campbell husfeld to 175 PSI which it was not happy doing.......and used an air chisel to work the cap off. Had to let the air compressor recover many times.

Glad I pulled it, as the venturi was silted in. Had black gook all over it, and the check valve would have never worked.

Now onto measuring proper depth and putting in the submersilbe. Going with a 1/2HP 115V as there is no 208/230v running to the pump house. Im going to use a plastic sanitary cap as this well does NOT have the pitless underground.
