The red part is more coarse and know that goes on the outside. But do I put the pieces together before oiling? Or do I oil the yellow inside and out, put the red on and just oil outside of that? Or does the red need to be oiled inside too?
Red catches large debris and yellow catches finer particles. If you oil the red it will stop up faster in a dusty environment. dust floating around would actually be attracted to it, so no oil.
Found a tear at the top seam in the uni while oiling. Kind of happy not having to deal with the two pieces again. Seemed like much more of a pain than the twin air I also have. The inner filter seemed like it was not being oiled on the outside when oiling the pieces together.
After seeing This test (click me) I think I am going to buy a Moose racing filter. Thanks for your help as always!
