Thanks for sharing!! Very enjoyable video for a Saturday morning.

Did not know about washing the rice....
 
It’s good … sausage gumbo is good … but very partial to crawfish étouffée

My perfect S La meal:

1) Dozen half shell
2) Bugs for the table
3) seafood gumbo
4) crawfish étouffée

That is not to say next night I can’t switch to various forms of shrimp … just ask Bubba 🤪
 
When I saw the thread title I thought someone had just discovered the reaction feature. My second thought was that squirrels could potentially be carriers of prion diseases. While infection occurs rarely I don't want to take a chance with catching lethal Mad Squirrel Disease.

My lady friend is coming over later with dessert. A pineapple upside down cake. I'm boiling about 3-4 lbs. of shrimp for supper.
 
This would be a last resort. Stew, if boneless! would at least look more palatable. What is this anyway? Southern fair food? And don't you just know that some shrewd vendor is going to secretly substitute squirrel with some similarly sized rodent?
