How to change an oil level sensor with a shop vac.

This short ran across my feed and I thought it was hilarious. Imagine being able to remove the drain bolt without getting hot oil on your hand.

 
not uncommon. Vacuum pumps have been used for a long time to change hydraulic components on equipment to prevent oil loss.
 
I had to replace a crush washer on a Honda CR-V that started leaking a week after completing a new oil change. I used the trick shown in the video below and didn't lose a drop. I was skeptical, so my oil pan was strategically positioned underneath in case the technique failed.

 
I asked about the vacuum method in another thread and someone mentioned that your shop vac will smell like oil afterward. Any truth to that?

Not sure I saw an similar video from another shop and there was no oil in the air filter but perhaps it does suck a small amount into the hose itself.
