My buddy has one of the older Explorers with the 4.0L, and he had to have some sort of nylon bushing replaced on the timing chain or something like that about a year ago. Anywho, when he had it done, the mechanic said it was a fairly common issue. Anybody else know what I'm talking about?
He had something else done with a solenoid on it after it started idling really weird and dying, but other than that, it runs just fine, and hasn't needed any other repairs. Gets Iffy Lubed every 3k.
