How pathetic are these Avatar people?

Call me shallow but I hated the story for advocating back-stabbing and putting disgrace on the U.S. Armed Forces.
Nowadays anything in the mass media that shows any sort of support for our troops is dismissed as "propaganda." If you refuse to stand behind our troops, by all means stand in front of them.
Ok, enough ranting.
The movie did have nice graphics and action sequences though.

Why people think everything has to be about US and have to praise the US? It's a movie, it's not real, and it's about computer animation.

Get over it.

Unless everything on Pandora is poisonous, I'm not sure being so darned colorful is good for not being eaten...I guess when everything else is just as colorful it doesn't matter, though.

I liked the movie for what it was - entertainment.

They just can't be serious.

Guess the movie really opened a Pandora's Box. Stay on your meds kids, a movie that successful must have a sequel or two.

Actualy it did not show our military in a negative light at all. If you follow the story they are all "EX" military ie "Guns For Hire" also known as Mercenary or Corporate Security Companies or Private Armies etc....... Not much different then going to work for BLack Water or any of the other some companies that hire ex "Combat Arms" MOS's from the Army and Marines and tech specialists from the Navy and Airforce etc........ None of the Earth Combatants where regular active duty military personel!Just so you know I am not an Avatar Fan never read the book and only went because my three boys wanted to go on the twins birth day. It was that or bowling and they chose that. Since I had to pay $7 each plus $2 for 3D glass and no children's rate due to it being 3D I figured I would follow the story and not look to hate it from the word go!

If you want to see a stupid movie that is not based in reality and shows our Marines in a negative lite go see Jar HEad!!! If you want to see a good movie that shows our boys at their best see "We where Solders" or "Black Hawk Down" all the old movies about WWII are good and anything with John Wayne in it is good for watching!

We just paid $42 for a family ticket (2 adults, 2 under 12) to see Mr Fox.

I didn't go to a movie theater for several years, I just watch DVD whenever it comes out.

I have a copy of "Black Hawk Down" and watched it more than 5 times already and like it very much, I will looking for "We Were Solders" on DVD.

I can find enough sad things in real life, but to waste time being depressed because of a movie? These people have too much time on thir hands..

PS, This was a corporation, with privately hired "ex-military"

PSS. Even today there are Smart Soldiers that know what we are doing isn't always right. (you can call it treasonous if you like, I calls em like I sees em)

In the end, all military's are there for the powerful M.I.C. to keep the Welfare/Warefare state going.

It was a great movie, and well worth the price of the ticket. I had weird dreams after seeing it. It was almost over stimulating! I loved it... though the storyline was kind of weak it was good enough to keep me watching.

Oh, back to the link,

I don't think it's the movie they are depressed about, maybe a surpressed idea that "we are in a World (meaning everyone together) of hurt right now)

OH and BTW, it's gonna get worse--Just ask Gerald Celente, wanna be depressed, listen to him a bit.
