I live in Oregon, which tends to be a little wet. How often should a product like Heet be used in a wet climate? Is this something you should do as a preventative or just wait until something stops working? Also, if the gas has 10% ethanol in it, will that work the same as heet?

If you're getting a constant or even an occassional ethanol mix, heet or a similar additive is a waste unless you're dealing with a severe problem.

I think Heet is isopropyl alcohol...have heard of some using 70% iso to remove water. Not all alcohols are act the same vs water?

Heet is methanol... Iso-Heet is isopropanol.

Oregon can't be any wetter than here in Vancouver, and I've never used water remover in my life. If your gas is E10 then you definitely don't need it. I would only buy Heet if I went through the car wash with my gas cap open.
