For a one-time thorough clean. The label recommends the whole bottle to 20 gallons of gas for this type of cleaning. I have a 45L/12 gallon tank. Would there be any advantage or disadvantage to using the whole bottle in it? Or should I just use about half/two thirds of the bottle like they recommend? 310,000km worth of gas has gone through these injectors without a good clean BTW.

Yeah, I agree, use half bottle for two fillups in a row...

I've used the whole bottle with my 15 gal tank without any problems

Use the whole bottle. Find my recent thread about how Redline SI-1 kicks #@$%!; adding half the bottle to two fillups didn't produce the results that adding the entire bottle to one tank did for me.

I went ahead and used the whole thing. Car doesn't seem to mind. I hope this stuff makes an improvement. Car runs well, but idles a little uneven and has a definite rotten egg/overheating cat smell after hard acceleration. My theory is the injectors are supplying uneven amounts of fuel.

We'll see what happens....

I have had friends dump the whole bottle in a bike(crotch rocket at that) and only had great things to say afterwards!!!!

Dump in the bottle and forget it.

You may want to clean the throttle body while your at it.I would run a full bottle for 3 or 4 full tanks then reduce the dosage. It works great.

On the similar note, at least Canadian bottles that I use have like ten 35L marks on them, meaning to be maintenance dose.
How effictive is SI-1 at 1/10 a bottle per tank?
I run it in almost every tank, and can't tell the difference @ 65K miles.
Anyone?

What kind of difference are you looking for?once the fuel system is clean and there are no deposits on the intake valves i cant imagine there would be any difference at all other than the keeping it that way, thats a good thing.IMO you are taking the correct approach to keep the engine running at its best rather than letting it get dirty then cleaning it up.Todays gasoline at least in the north east where i live are not very good at even keeping the engine running properly never mind keeping deposits under control, this product as well as a few other quality products of this type definitely help to not only keep the fuel system clean but to keep the in tank fuel sender in good working order,an issue that has arisen more and more since the introduction of the mandatory 10% ethanol mix.To replace this unit most of the time requires removing the fuel tank and sometimes is integral with the pump which can cost a few hundred $$,preventing this is well worth the price of the small amount you mention but you wont "feel" the difference.
