How many keys on ring you normally carry

I read that too much weight on the ignition tumbler wears it prematurely. Its a consideration since well over 200k is the norm for us. Car keys are separate for simplicity and weight.

We set all the house keys to two specific key serials, so we only need two keys for the house. Work uses a swipe card, and the keys for my laboratory are kept at work. I try to keep it simple and light.

Car ring has 3. Pickup, house, and boat.

Shop ring has 15-18,,,,problem is, I don't know what half of them are to.

Yeah, I tried two, but it was too much hassle changing to a different key ring for evenings or weekends when I would go in the Aerostar vs driving the F150 to work. Three isn't too bad though.
