how long for engine to cool down with hood open to change plugs?

Always do my hot/warm b/c the coil packs are easier to remove.

I hated working at Sears on cars that somehow had the engine hotter than molten steel.
Still have scars from flesh cooked off on them.

I remember those days.

You guys think shops are letting these things cool overnight for plugs?

Rack it, do everything else on the ticket first, change the plugs, send it.

I get it. But if it's my car with AL heads, I'm letting it sit overnight.

This isn't a 3v triton is it? I've heard people have better luck doing them hot because they like to break off.

If you never get a day off, it is time to go job hunting. The spark plugs can wait.
