Hey all i understand these brands have there timeline posted on the website etc but just wondering how many days oil analyzers takes in real world time to result a sample once received?

Thanks

Once they receive the sample, I usually will get results to my inbox in 2-4 days. I like to use the UPS prepaid sample kits because they only take 2 days to deliver to them from my location. My job has a daily UPS pickup, so I just bring my sample to work, UPS picks up in the afternoon, and 2 days later, I get delivery notification. My most recent sample was picked up by UPS last Monday, delivered to OAI on Wed morning, and I got results by Monday morning (Memorial Day). Yeah, they sent my results on Memorial Day morning.

Polaris Labs, who is the lab who does Oil Analyzers did my last 2 recent work related samples, sent in at different times. One the same day received and the other the next day received. A couple years ago it took 4 days. I think they are dead now, people not pulling as many samples in industry and hobby. No data, just my opinion. I think everyone is trying to save a buck these days.

I'm in commercial aviation, some manufacturers don't require you to pull samples regularly anymore. Some large customers may require it when they charter your aircraft. So that could one small factor.
For my samples, I use the same company that we used to use for our aircraft as they do it for various industries. Price is the same as pre-paid Amsoil sample kits and so far it's taken less than 5 business days to get results.

Going on 2 yrs and counting for my last sample.
X2 for me, so I won't do it again.
I know how to pack and label clearly AND I take all packages to the PO desk for acurate, metered postage.
I can only therorize that someone along the way feels it's his duty to prevent an oil spill event and pulls them from the mail flow.
That conflicting notices of these samples being within postal regulations as well as in violation of them is all I need to hear.

I ain't Superman so I can't "straighten everybody out".

Also, there's a provision for the mailer of hazardous stuff which spills to be responsible for any claen-up costs.
