Long story short, I had mailed a sample out to the Indiana lab on May 27th. My last few UOAs took very little time to process which is why I was surprised that I hadn't heard back from them yet. Lo and behold, it's been getting bounced back and forth between the Indianapolis, Elkhart, and Detroit Distribution centers for the last week.

I called up USPS tonight and they told me the prepaid label must've had the wrong zip code on it. They're claiming that the zip on it is 46209, which I could see being misread because the actual zip is 46268 (I guess 6 and 8 look like 0 and 9 apparently...). Either way they told me it was Amsoil's fault which I just rolled my eyes because USPS probably damaged the label or the sort machine is being dumb.

Regardless, I was told to fill out a missing mail report with a description of the item and where to send it if they do find it. Hopefully they can get their act together and send it to the right place.

Not sure if anyone else has had this issue or if Pablo has dealt with this. This is a first for me as my last UOA with Oil Analyzers was very smooth.

I just have the issue that the “stamp fell off” and mail taking 2-3 months.

.gov wants to ruin everything they do on purpose so they can hand it off to privatized systems that if the uk is any indication will be worse than .gov trying to fail

It doesn't help you in this case, but do you have a UPS store at least semi local? Highly recommend getting the UPS pre-paid.

USPS is dealing with issues not of it's own making. They are a constitutional service, being run as a private enterprise. They were originally designed as a cost center, not as a profit center.

You can figure out the rest.

If you don't like them, don't use them. Call your congress rep and complain. Not here. Ears that matter.

Over the past month I have sent three letters via USPS express mail. About $36 USD per letter.

Post Office makes me digitally sign all kinds of stuff to send the letter. And the questions I am required to answer are counterintuitive, almost like the questions are designed by bureaucratic IT people in hopes you sign the box wrong and have to start over again.

Of the three express mail letters I sent in the last 30 days, none of the letters were delivered in under five days. All the letters were shipped west of the Mississippi, to major cities west of the Mississippi.

I have no idea what is going on at USPS, but it is reasonable to assume delivering mail and packages with any sense of concern or urgency is no longer a key task at USPS.

When I owned my business, I shipped a lot of stuff out the door via Fedex, UPS, USPS, and other LTF carriers. One thing I decided to do early on was use that same clear/transparent packaging tape, I already used to close the package, to put over the shipping addresses, tracking numbers, & barcodes. It has worked well. USPS has gone down the tubes in transit times & overconfident about their delivery times more than ever but one thing you can do yourself to help prevent damage to the labels is the above. At least they're scanning your package so it should get settled...eventually. Keep on them

USPS is an incompetent agency that is a waste of our money.
Only recently,
they are failing on purpose so we can break the constitution, get rid of them and replace with a privatized service that will be worse, rural delivery might move to monthly and as the uk showed one privatizated delivery vendor restructured loosing an entire cities worth of packages with no recourse.

They lost my sample over a year ago

Not sure how to say this, but shipping any liquid USPS is a bad idea. The first question they ask when sending something is "does the package contain any liquids".
Ordered 2 jugs of Valvoline oil from Amazon on May 17th, Today is June 12 and it still hasn't arrived in Pittsburgh VIA USPS.
Here in Florida, no issue since I think they use they're own trucks.

In Pittsburgh, WalMart is the correct seller to use for that item.

Yeah if they can't get it resolved in a week, I'll pay for the UPS one. Thankfully my laziness has paid off as I haven't dumped my oil yet from my change so I'll send another sample.

That's a first. Probably not the first time USPS has pulled a stunt though.

Considering that just last month someone tampered with my mail and stole cash from my birthday cards and opened up my Mother's day card, nothing surprises me.
