I feel kinda crappy about it but this is my first ever UOA. I'm sending in a sample to the Oil Analyzers (Amsoil) but I have a rather basic question.

I'm mailing my sample back via USPS (not prepaid). I know I'm supposed to put the bottle of oil into the provided plastic bag. On the bag it states: "Mail envelope to lab". Does that mean the bare plastic bag with the bottle of oil showing through? I was planning to box it up in the same box they sent the kit to me. That way I can use USPS Click and Ship. Otherwise I'll have to drive it to the post office. Will the US Post office even accept a little plastic bag with oil in it?

Edit: I read the sticky about sending oil samples but it never specifically covers Oil Analyzers shipping.

Did you ever think about calling Amsoil or PMing Pablo here?

Well, it's all done. Got my first used oil analysis done through Oil Analyzers. I did put the bottle into the bag and the bag into a small box. I used USPS Click & Ship and even had USPS pick it up from my doorstep. It all went fine. Only trouble I had was trying to navigate through the Oil Analyzer's Horizon app. It's not user friendly at all. But luckily I was able to figure it out enough. Here's my used oil analysis:

I agree, the app and initial process was very confusing and unclear to me as well. I got a couple of things wrong on the first (and only, so far) go-around. The good thing is, they were very responsive and accomodating, answering all of my questions and guiding me through it all. I will definitely use them again.
