How does Amsoil come up with their OCI's?

With Toyota's 5K OCI, what is the risk to using dino and a good filter? This maintains the warrenty and keeps the cost down.

5K? I guess some dino's could make it. Synthetic would make it that much easier. I thought Toyota was 7.5K?

Me thinks that with todays gas prices one would be wise to use a good synthetic oil to get the best fuel economy one could.

I should add here that one of my customers has fleet of 30 Lincoln Town Cars that he uses as Taxi/Limosin services. They have been on AMSOIL for 8 to 9 years now and he has retired two of them with 800,000 and 900,000kms.
Never touched the engines on any of them.
40,000km oil change intervals.
They each come in a t 10,000km intervals to have things checked over. At 20,000 the filter is changed and a qt is added. At 40,000 oil and filter are changed.
This is one happy customer/company!

I believe in 03 or 04 Toyota went to 5k intervals across the board in a knee jerk reaction. My 02 Tacoma has a regular service interval of 7500.

nope, my 03 still has the 5K severe and 7.5 regular duty intervals listed.
