Without my knowledge the boss was trying to persuade her to go with me.
Well, she finally said she would go out with me becuase she found out I was working 2 jobs and she liked that.
Her boss told me what she done But I didnt know what she looked like. Before agreeing to go out I had to see her first. So after about a month we met.

You all know we are having kids, the end.

19 years ago we met at a church singles volleyball game when I was living in Colorado. We hit it off and went for ice cream a couple of days later. We were married in Colorado, but moved to Iowa the next day.

THe CHurch conection is also a good thing. We both had the same religious beliefs. We also saw eye to eye on child rearing before we ever got married. DO not get me wrong we have our friction points but religon and child rearing are not issues wich makes a lot of the other stuff seem simple! I would have hated to have to switch religions or something like that. I have a cosin that was forced to do that!

Met my wife at a Christmas party, much to the chagrin of the woman I took there. We pretty much gravitated to one another (alcohol induced?) and had a great time. Other woman went home with some other guy which was fine by me.

When I came back from a beer-run, she (future wife) was gone. No last name, no phone number, nothing. Man I was bummed for days. Then my friend who hosted the party said "oh yeah, this woman wanted me to give you her phone number". Didn't know whether I wanted to hug him or kick his azz (some days I want to do the latter

).

It was a cell phone and she hadn't taken her battery charger on the business trip. Well after about 5 messages that started out as "hi, how are you? remember me?" and declined to "well, if you don't want to talk to me, just leave me a message saying so", she thought I was some kind of crazed stalker. Come to find out her cousin's husband worked with me but on a different squad. They had a party that I was invited to and guess who shows up? She told me about the cell phone and I said I didn't know who was calling her, but it wasn't me

. I guess she found my sense of humor irresistable because we have been married now for 4 years.

Now my sense of humor is annoying and she still forgets to charge her cell phone. Have an awesome little boy together though, who is worth every bit of the trouble it was "finding" my wife. He is almost 5, do the math

Well, Losiho ...there's something to be said for the single life. Although seeking a mate is a natural act ...living with one isn't. Many are very lucky ..and realize it more as they mature...many are not ..and realize it more as they mature.

Choose wisely, my friend. You usually get more than you bargained for ..one way or another.

I ran into her. We were in a head on collision. She was in the other car. So it musta been destiny . I asked her out while the police report was being taken. Goin on 16 years.

There is a lot be said about that vein of commonality.

What my wife didn't know was that she was about to marry into the "Church of the Painful Truth!"

An answer to prayer. Told her I loved her on the second date, proposed after 7 days and were married 4 months later. Has been the best 23 years of my life.

Church youth group summer trip, she was a college student youth leader and I was one of the youth. I kid her that our relationship at that point was bascially statutory rape.....she hates me to say that....6 years my senior.

26 years of marriage , 3 kids , and why that dear of a woman would hang with me I will never know.

Thanks God.

I walked four doors down the street from old house and saw a pretty woman sitting on her steps. My dog walked right up to her and jumped into her lap (pug). I apologized and that was the ice breaker.

I hear yea. I simply have not found a woman that's on the same wavelength as me. All my freetime is either spent fishing, or fishing, or fishing. I do things MY WAY. I admit that I'm fairly neurotic and insanly perfectionist. I need to marry I pshycologist!

I met my wife on Matchmaker. We talked through email for almost a month before we decided to meet in person. Turns out we lived 3 miles from each other. Have been married for 10 years now

I met my wife at work. I was working for US Plywood for about 5 years and they hired this new girl and it was love at first sight. One month after we were married both of us were laid off. That was 21 years ago and we are still going strong.

I met my ex-wife at a church singles convention.

I don't know where she met the married man she is now dating.

I don't care either. While I miss my daughter, I don't miss my ex-wife too much.

I met oilbabe on Yahoo Personals

Well said!

Not making light of your situation, but you certainly have a way with words

I was looking for something to do on New Years Eve 1999, going into the year 2000, so I asked my buddy at work what he was doing. He mentioned that a bunch of them were having a party at my now-wife's place (who was my buddy's date to the company Christmas party early in December and who I had only met briefly), then going to a club. If I could get a ticket for the club, I was welcome to come.

So I got the ticket and made arrangements to show up. The party was supposed to start at 4:00, so, not wanting to be the first to arrive, I got there at 4:30 and, of course, was the first one to arrive. Well, she put me right to work, helping to make a boxed pasta salad someone had brought. We talked while I was helping her prepare.

After about 20 minutes, my buddy showed up and I was mostly talking to him, as well as mixing it up a little with the others, until the time we left for the club. Anyway, they had rented a large van so everyone could go in the same vehicle. One of the other girls was on a medication where she couldn't drink, so she was the designated driver. We all started to get in the van. I hopped in the second row on the driver's side, a few other people got in the third and fourth rows, then my now-wife snuggled up right beside me in the second row. I was a little surprised, but quite happy. We hit it off very well that night and got married 19 months later. Our 4'th anniversary will be next month.
