had a burst of Freon blow into the cab of a car. I am done and calling professionals. Question is does it just need to be aired out? Is it dangerous inside the car? Does it need to be cleaned?
I imagine it was overcharged during this operation…How did this burst of Freon happen?
I don’t know what happened. It burst Freon but no visible damage and pressure never went down. It’s at 40 and when we tried to add it burst like if it was maybe a pressure release? Idk but the car is blowing kinda cold and checked multiple times pressure hasn’t gone down from 40I imagine it was overcharged during this operation…

Yeah. Maybe Freon can was loose we all ran and didn’t see but the cab filled with smokeSo, there was a burst of Freon.
And the pressure in the system stayed the same.
One of those two statements must be wrong. They cannot both be true.
Burst from where ? The charging hose? Accumulator? A hose or schrader valve ? I leak in the evaporator will not just stop.I don’t know what happened. Have no idea. Maybe at the can? Idk but pressure didn’t drop but we also couldn’t get pressure to go past 40Burst from where ? The charging hose? Accumulator? A hose or schrader valve ? I leak in the evaporator will not just stop.
Cars can’t have an emergency blow off valve? So, there was a burst of Freon.

It would be the only system that I’ve heard that has one.Cars can’t have an emergency blow off valve?
You really should just stop and take this to a shop. I'm not sure you have enough experience to do this safely. Also if you did not purge the hose, you have introduced air and moisture to the system. It needs to be evacuated, put on a vacuum and see if it holds vacuum, then charged with refrigerant by weight.Have no idea. Maybe at the can? Car had Freon. Was at 30 so I added and stop at 40. Car has been running for 30min pressure hasn’t gone down and blowing cold. And burst hasn’t happened. And we didn’t see what burst. But pressure hasn’t gone down so it can’t be a line or something. Car has been running for 30min after the unknown burstYou really should just stop and take this to a shop. Leave be then, but if you have any other issues, take it to a shop. You don't know how much refrigerant is in there, you don't know the high side pressures.Car had Freon.
