How about those people who call into political radio talk shows? I lire to listen to them for fun while im driving thats about it.
The Loons im talking usually say something like "Your the reason I changed my life" or " I was so mad i began to hyperventilate. then i realized I should call you to report the Injustice and expose the truth"

I hope people dont this crap they play on the radio to serious.

Its not like politicians sit around on there off days and say Those damm liberals and Those stupid Conservatives.

I Cant imagine there are really idiots like this, sometimes i think they are staged, Any one agree?

You must be talking about callers to Rush Limbauh. No ..they're not staged ...just "filtered".

The typical call goes along this line:

Rush ..mega dittos...it's an honor to get to talk with you. Rush, I just have to thank you for opening my eyes. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't listened to you and picked myself up and did something with my life. I owe it all to you.

Thank you.

Rush ..I want to talk about dog food.

Well, that's what the Liberal Left wants you to believe. They've conditioned you to actually think that dog food is important ..which it is ..but not when it's compared to cat food. This is the conspriacy that we're facing here folks. Hillary and the Rev-erend Jackson have been out there filling our minds with this garbage. Everyone knows that cat food is the real issue here.....

So everything I've heard on the radio is BS?

Wow thanks guys, I can sleep better now.

Thank God for Air America.

I think callers to most any type of radio show are a bit strange in the first place, regardless of the show type, be it political, computer related, health (mental or otherwise), business, personal relationships, or even cars and oil. Most just want to hear themselves talk, or tell aunt Ninny; "I was on the radio". Some have this inner bug to gain some level of exposure and in their minds, "fame". These are not necessarily always bad drives, but.....

Seriously, the thing I wonder about (again regardless of theme) - the quality of the answer. IOW - when you have a serious quandary (about anything) is your first thought; "...let me call a national radio show, for millions to hear, and I'll get the best answer...."?

These shows fill an entertainment gap....for me like most, I get tired of music and listen to gab radio...sometimes I don't listen too long.

I do like Money Talk (think about telling nation that you just dropped $50K on the bust company X.

Dr. Laura (whom I actually think is often correct) totally gets me depressed in 26 seconds-yeah I want to listen to other people's serious problems - what this is gonna make me happy? I mean I AM entertained when she talks about HOW the wife found out the husband was doing the neighbor wife....

Rush is OK. Is he always correct? No. Are any of us? No. Is Rush's head the size of a Tech'sass water melon - of course. He, for sure, filled a media gap. There are still a chunk of folks that don't realize that John Kerry isn't real people.

No they aren't staged anymore than us idiots who type into our computer screens to some general forum in a oil topic chat site.....

Pablo, you're so mean. Where's the love?

I'm pretty conservative but I despise both of these phoneys- Rush the anti-drug druggie and Dr. Laura - Ms. perfect if you forget her past. But then again they are entertainers-period. Not to be taken seriously.

Oh well-who am I to cut up Self-made millionairs.

Al - I agree they are phonies (I know nothing of Dr. Laura's past - please tell??). I do agree with Dr, Laura's preserve the family stance - but again I listen in 26 seconds snippets

A few years ago there were some nude pictures of her circulating i=on the web, including a spead eagle bush shot.

She was good looking when she was young.

She had a big bush, she should have trimmed it for the pictures.

The pictures were taken by a boy friend when she was young and foolish.

After denying that the pictures were her, she finally fessed up and admitted they were.

A lot of people do dumb things when they are young, her bigger mistake was lying about the pictures when it was obvious that they were authentic. Denial is more than a river in Egypt.

There were better copies of the pictures available online originally, these are the best I could find in a quick search.

But again note that she is a single parent. I just don't like your holier than thou stance, but then again-she's an entertainer. The other thing I find amusing is these folks that call into Dr. Laura... They are begging her to beat them up ..and she does

I'm sorry if I come accross this way, some of the above was written with my tongue severely implanted in cheek.

As you can tell, I know nothing of Dr. Laura - other than 2 or 3 times I tuned in when she was beating a dad up for walking out on his kids and or a dad/husband caught cheating and it's the wife calling in.....these grab my attention.....hmmm....dunno why.

If you get the Phil Hendrie show in your area, take a listen. His talk radio show is a spoof of talk radio shows. The people that actually call in dont get the joke. Very funny.
